Women’s Summer Bible Study

Mondays in July

True gratitude starts with recognizing our great God who loves and provides for us out of His grace and mercy. Fostering a grateful heart brings joy to our lives and those around us. It turns our eyes off ourselves and helps us cherish the time and relationships we have in new ways. Jump in with us this summer as we dig into this topic using scripture as our guide. Discover truths that transform us into women who are genuinely grateful to the Lord and are blessings to each other. Each session will be a stand-alone lesson led by a different teacher with any needed materials provided.

We will meet in the Café from 6:30 – 8 pm each Monday night in July, beginning July 7th. Join us for any or all of the classes as you can. We can’t wait to enjoy this time of fellowship and encouragement with you!

We are so excited to welcome your family into the 6th grade and the Middle School Ministry! We know this is a big transition, and we are expectant of what the Lord will do through your student in Middle School. 

This free FAMILY event will include dinner, snacks, a parent handbook, professional photos, games, prizes, prayer, and most importantly a student Bible dedication! 

We are excited to enjoy full family worship this Summer at Double Oak! For all Sundays, June 22 through July 27 our Kids (K-5th) will join parents in our main worship service. We WILL NOT HAVE Kids Worship or Kids Community Groups on these Sundays.

Preschool (Birth-PreK) will continue to meet all summer for all services.

Gentlemen, get ready for an evening designed just for you! We're thrilled to host a special men's event featuring former Navy Seal and entrepreneur Jared Hudson. Join us Sunday, July 13 in the Double Oak Community Church Worship Room for a dinner at 5:30 PM. This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy great food, build connections, and grow together in community.

Following dinner, Jared Hudson will share an inspiring message that promises to be both encouraging and impactful. Come be a part of an evening that aims to uplift and strengthen every man who attends. We're looking forward to seeing you there!

With a deep commitment to his faith and his experience in the SEAL teams, Jared brings a unique and powerful message to church communities. His book, ‘Waging War in the High Places’, explores spiritual warfare and the importance of standing firm in faith. Drawing on his military background and spiritual journey, he provides valuable insights on faith, resilience, and the importance of living a Christ-centered life.

One June 22 and June 29 we will offer a combined class for students whose parents are attending an Adult Community Group. July 6-27 our servant leadership will enjoy a Summer Sabbatical (a time to rest, restore and renew), and WE WILL NOT HAVE Community Groups (of any age) during this time.

Ladies, you are invited to join us at 5:30 pm on Friday night, June 27th, for our “Game Night” Women's Dinner & Devotional. We will be hosting a Game Night complete with a Taco Mama taco bar! You do not want to miss this fun evening of building friendships and hearing about exciting new opportunities coming to the Women's Ministry! This is the perfect time to bring a guest, so invite a friend and make your reservations today. The meal will cost $10 per person and the deadline to RSVP is Monday, June 23rd.

Girls Night Out-THURSDAY, JUNE 26 | 6 pm - 7:30 pm | Community Building | $10 PER GIRL

Middle School Girls (6th-8th grade) and incoming 6th grade girls, join us for our second summer GNO (Girls Night Out). We will be creating Charm Necklace's on either a jewelry chain or a bandana with all of your favorite things represented in our charm selection! Bring a friend!

High School Students (rising 9th graders-graduated 12th grade seniors) join us for a high school hangout directly following the service on June 1st from 12:30 pm-2:30 pm for lunch and games. We will have Taco Mama for lunch and a time to hangout with one another. Come and bring your friends as we celebrate the start of your summer.

Kids Worship—Family Style!

Sunday, May 18 | 6 pm - 7 pm | Worship Room

Sunday night, May 18, 6 pm - 7 pm is KIDS WORSHIP—FAMILY STYLE with James Spann and his crew! The night will feature music, Bible Story with a live artist, and a couple of surprises! This is a worship service for the ENTIRE FAMILY (no childcare available).

We will also be recognizing the kids who have completed their Bible Skills for this year: kids who have said all their memory verses, kids who have completed all their Bible skills, and kids who have memorized the long passage!

Door prizes chosen from everyone who has already registered for VBS!

Following the worship time (around 7 pm) we will have a Camper/Parent meeting for all the kids who are going to CentriKid Camp. Be ready to pick your Track Times and your roommate and get all the information about camp!

We are excited to honor our 2025 Graduates on Sunday, May 18th.

We will have a special breakfast for graduates and their immediate family during the 9 am hour of service and recognition will directly follow this during the 10:45 am Worship Service.

Adam will lead a Q&A session with Rocky in the Worship Room starting at 6:15 pm. Following you will have a chance to meet Rocky in the Commons and enjoy some delicious Italian Ice from Jeremiah’s! We hope you can join us.

We will have a Business Meeting (at the end of each service) on June 1 to vote on Rocky as a Candidate for our High School Minister.

Michael Abrams is Senior Pastor at DOCC Chelsea campus. Michael has been on the staff at DOCC for 13 years first serving as Connections Pastor and then becoming teaching Pastor at the Chelsea Campus. God has used he and Mia and their family to impact this are for Christ. Come hear him speak!

Middle School Moms! Bring your 6th-8th grade student for a mom and student bonding activity, a MEXICAN FOOD Charcuterie Board Class! Treasure this time with your pre-teen and learn to make an adorable/tasty snack!

Mending Hearts

Join us the first Wednesday of each month in the Café at the Mt Laurel Campus, 9 am - 11 am.

Are you looking for a way to minister to others in our community? If so, we would love for you to be a part of the Mending Hearts ministry. Each month we meet and make pillows for patients who have had open heart surgery. This is a wonderful opportunity to fellowship with other ladies while serving those in our city. Sewing is not a requirement! We need help cutting fabric, stuffing pillows and tagging them. If you do sew, we would appreciate you bringing your machine to help with the sewing. Moms INC (Moms In Need of Community) is for moms with children of all ages and stages of life. We strive to provide a Christ-centered time to build friendships, offering a place to share the joys and challenges of motherhood. As we build this community, let’s take our burdens, worries, and victories to the Lord and receive His peace together as a community of moms who love the Lord and pray together.

We will meet the first Tuesday of the month, 9:30 am-12 pm, September* through May at the Mt Laurel Campus of Double Oak Community Church, Room C22-23 in the Community Building. *Due to Labor Day, the first meeting will be September 10th. You do not have to be a regular attender of DOCC to join Moms INC! If you’re a mama of any age or stage, you are welcome here.
