MidWeek

MidWeek at Double Oak is a semester-based ministry designed for all ages to help people grow in spiritual maturity and live in spiritual community. During our MidWeek semesters we begin with an evening meal in our Commons and Worship Room (5:30 pm -6:10 pm) for the family. You can see the weekly menu (and click to RSVP) below.

During MidWeek Spring & Fall Semesters adult discipleship classes will meet on Wednesday nights. Our MidWeek classes are built around seven spiritual foundations found in the life of a disciple of Jesus, discovery classes to help people connect with Christ and our church family, men and women’s gender based studies, andshort term classes focusing on spiritual growth, leadership development, and hot topics.

While adult classes are meeting, there are also studies specifically designed for Preschool (birth-PreK), Kids (K-5th), Middle School (6th-8th) and High School (9th-12th). Click on the links provided below for more information on their schedules.

While we can’t be trained professionals in everything, we can be prepared for some common crises that arise in people’s lives. In this class we’ll learn some basic techniques for handling a hospital visit, grief, marital crises, and more. It’s going to happen, so let’s be prepared!

MAN CHURCH | IMPACT | C-11 | LED BY MARK BERTHIAUME

In 2 Peter 1:5–8, Peter provides a list of attributes every Christian should pursue. Peter gave an excellent explanation for why striving to obtain these attributes is so important. He said that if Christ-followers “own” these attributes and continue to grow in them, their lives would be effective and fruitful for the Kingdom of God. This fruitfulness should be the goal of every mature Christian. This semester of IMPACT will focus on the attributes of self-control and steadfastness.

PHILEMON INDUCTIVE BIBLE STUDY | CAFE | BOBBY WILSON

Do you desire to know how to study God’s Word for yourself? New students are welcome to join us as we look at a powerful short book that will teach you about leadership, forgiveness and reconciliation.

Spend a few hours using the book of Philemon to learn the inductive method of Bible study. This life-changing method uses the Bible as the primary source for study. Inductive Bible study is going to the Bible first— directly to the Word of God to learn about God, His Word, what He says, and what He desires from us. This study seeks the truth from what God says in the Bible before going to commentaries or other sources.

We will focus on the steps of inductive Bible study: how to observe the text, how to interpret scripture, and how to apply what we learn to our lives.

Come and learn how to discover the truth.
