In November we are partnering with Two Feathers Ministries as one of our Serve United Partners. Two Feathers Ministries exists to glorify God by making disciples of First Nations (Native American) peoples and recruiting believers to become laborers who will multiply His ministry while respecting Native cultures. Our vision is to see people from the First Nations (Native American) tribes recognize their spiritual gifts while developing them into leaders who will bring multitudes of people from every tribe and nation to knowing and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ.
For years Double Oak has partnered with Two Feathers to provide backpacks at Christmas to children in Native cultures as part of this mission. This year, like most other things, we are having to do things a little differently. Please join us in continuing this mission!
1. AMAZON WISH LIST
There is a wish list set up for every age/gender to receive backpacks; people can purchase things off the wish list and have it sent directly to Two Feathers.
2. DONATIONS FOR BIBLES
An age appropriate Bible goes in every backpack. You can donate towards the purchase of these Bibles, and we will purchase the Bibles in bulk.
3. PRAY
Pray for the children and reservations that will be receiving backpacks
this Christmas.

In October we are partnering with King’s Home, an organization that provides Christ-centered homes and services for youth, women & kids seeking refuge, hope, and help from domestic violence, neglect, abandonment, homelessness, and other difficult and impoverished conditions and circumstances.
Normally, this time of year, we would be hosting a Trunk or Treat for our community, but this year is not normal. Crowds are strongly discouraged during a pandemic, so we will not be hosting our traditional Trunk or Treat. However, our Serve United Team has come up with a great idea. We will be hosting a Trunk or Treat for the King’s Home – for the kids, youth and caregivers that live on their campuses.
When: Sunday afternoon, October 25th, 3 PM - 5:30 PM
Where: King’s Home Campus, 221 King's Home Drive (near Forest Oaks Elementary School)
