Come join us on Wednesday nights this fall for a dinner and discipleship time!

Dinner: 5:45PM

Discipleship: 6:30PM

Dinner & Discipleship at Chelsea is a time for us to come together to believe and live in the gospel experiencing how it shapes our lives, our church community, and how we live out the gospel in the world. This Fall, starting Wednesday night September 7th, we will have a meal together and one large adult discipleship class in the worship room. We have things for our preschool, children, and youth during this time as well. One class will run four weeks in September, and the second class will run four weeks in October.

How the Gospel Changes Us - with Ben Deloach

Wednesdays Sept. 7th – 28th in the Worship Room

When we think of the Gospel, or the Good News of Jesus Christ, we often think of the past. We think of how we met Jesus, how He forgave us, and saved us. We also think of the future when we’ll meet Jesus face-to-face and enter eternal bliss with Him. Most Christians are good at thinking of the gospel in terms of the past and the future, but what about the “here and now”? How does it help us respond to difficult circumstances? How does it help us make decisions? How does it motivate us and give us purpose? How does it help us change and grow...now? Using Tim Lane and Paul Tripp’s book, How People Change, we can gain a clear sense of where change is needed in our lives and what that change should

look like as we look deeply into the grace of God in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How the Gospel Makes Us Leaders - with Clay Adkisson

Wednesdays Oct. 5th – 26th in the Worship Room

When we look in the scriptures, we see Jesus selecting the most unlikely people to lead his church. The same is true today. God can take the least likely person and make them into a great leader. The truth is we all lead in some way shape or form. The question is do we think about how we are leading? Whether you consider yourself a leader or not, this class is for all of us to see how the gospel makes us a leader. Using a combination of Gospel Coach and the Gospel Shaped Leader by Scott Thomas we will see how the gospel shapes our lives and leadership both inside and outside the church.

DISCIPLESHIP CLASSES AT CHELSEA ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS•6:30 PM-7:30 PM

If I Had A Parenting Do Over with Joe & Val Harvey • Worship Room

What if you had the benefit of knowing where other parents had messed up and knowing what they would do differently? Learn how to avoid mistakes that we, and other parents, have made while identifying helpful practices you can implement in your own home. Join us to explore better ways to lead and connect with your tweens and teens.

Ragged: Spiritual Disciplines for the Spiritually Exhausted with Carlye Stringfellow, Liz Clayton & Pam Cooley • Room 101

If you are looking for a to-do list on how to be a “better" Christian, this book is not for you. This book study is for the imperfect, the tired, the weary and the ragged. All women are welcome. Join us as we journey through the book “Ragged” by Gretchen Ronnevik. Our goal is to embrace our insufficiency and receive the lighter yolk of Christ as we learn to truly experience the spiritual disciplines. Book purchase is recommended but not required. A limited number of books will be available to purchase in the Commons.

Fathered by God with Matt Stringfellow & Brian Marbury • Room 102

In an age when true fathers are in short supply, how do you find the path to manhood? There is a path leading to authentic manhood, cut by men who have gone before us, sons following in the footsteps of their fathers, generation after generation. Fathered by God calls men back to a simple and reassuring truth: God is our father. In life's trials and triumphs, God is initiating boys and men through the stages of manhood.
