Men, Join us Saturday, August 29, 2026, 8 am–10:45 am (doors open 7:15 AM) at Double Oak Community Church for the 2026 Heroes of Faith Special Event brought to us by Aaron & Hur Society. This event is designed for men (ages 12 & up).
You will hear firsthand stories from U.S. Armed Forces chaplains on how the Gospel transformed lives in the most demanding military environments, plus practical lessons in bold spiritual leadership. Speakers include keynote Jeff Struecker (retired Army chaplain, Silver Star recipient, and the Battle of Mogadishu veteran portrayed in Black Hawk Down), Eric Hammen (retired Navy chaplain, 30-year veteran), and Matt Berrens (active-duty Navy captain and chaplain), with worship and a panel session.
Why men should come? This event is built to challenge men to lead with conviction and gospel courage at home, at work, and in the church — honoring those who've served while equipping everyone to stand firm in their own faith. Proceeds also support full-time scholarships for the next generation of evangelical military chaplains.
The cost is $21 per man ($9 additional to bring a friend). Breakfast is included! Make sure to reserve your tickets in advance!
