Global Mission Partners and Prayer Needs
Double Oak partners with several global mission efforts beyond our community. Below is a partial list of global our partners along with various prayer needs for each ministry. Follow the links with each ministry to learn more about their activities.
10/40 WINDOW
10/40 Window refers to a rectangular area of North Africa, the Middle East and Asia between 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator with predominately Muslim, Hindu and Buddhist influences. Roughly 2/3 of the world populations are in this vast region and the Gospel is actively suppressed. We support missionaries working in this area and for their safety provide no other identifiable information.
Please pray for their safety and effectiveness in the field as they seek to evangelize and disciple believers and support church planting in the area.
Pray for their family life and concerns about their children’s education for next year.
UNITED WORLD MISSION
United World Mission helps grow disciple-making communities around the world that worship God, love each other, serve out in the world, and proclaim the good news of Christ everywhere! For more information:www.uwm.org
Pray for their efforts to serve with Christian leaders globally to plant, nourish, and reproduce churches that delight God and surprise the world.
DOULOS PARTNERS
Doulos Partners works to connect believers with mission organizations that are already established on the ground and are successfully sharing the story of Christ in order to partner with them to achieve greatness for the Lord. They work to train nationals who are called to pastor, help with financial resources and do ministry projects (construction, vacation Bible school, medical clinics, neighborhood events, etc) that grow the ministry of each and every church founding. Continue to Pray for the Cuban Mission Church Plant that DOCC was involved in last year. Pray for their safety, spiritual growth and multiplication.
Pray for Doulos Partners and national converts witnessing under dangerous circumstances in Pakistan.
FORGOTTEN CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES
Forgotten Children's Ministries works to rescue the forgotten and abandoned street children of Honduras. They minister to “these least of these providing them with food, shelter, clothing and medical attention in the short term at a place called “Noah’s Ark Shelter” for boys and “Grace Home” for girls. They go on to meet long term needs through their efforts to nurture, disciple, educate and provide vocational training in a variety of settings which include a 40 acre farm called “Grace Farm”. The goal of FCM is to meet the physical needs of these little ones while sharing the love and hope that is found in knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Pray for Grace Farm, Noah’s Ark Shelter and especially for Grace Home Shelter for girls which was just opened in 2011.

DAYSPRING MISSION IN NIGERIA
Pray for their efforts to establish a rural vocational /discipleship center with the assistance of local Believers.
Pray for their discipleship of local believers and the multiplication of their ministry to the unreached of Nigeria.
WURMBRAND CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
Wurmbrand Christian Academy in Iasi, Romania was began a few years after the fall of communism in 1989. Liliana Romaniuc was an educator, Romanian and a Christian. The school has grown from 65 students in 1995 to 400 students with the goal of training teachers and prepare students to make a difference in Romanian society through Christian education. Pray for the constant trials and attacks from those who wish to stop the school’s ministry.
Pray for teams from our area who will go and minister to teachers and students of the Academy and the local community of Iasi.
COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL
Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults. Founded by the Rev. Everett Swanson in 1952, Compassion began providing Korean War orphans with food, shelter, education and health care, as well as Christian training. Today, Compassion helps more than 1.2 million children in 26 countries through sponsorship and other aid programs.www.compassion.com
