Chad Scroggins and his family are long-time, faithful members of DOCC. He serves as County Manager of Shelby County.
The county manager is responsible for managing diverse departments and services: Juvenile Detention, Personnel Services, Finance & Accounting including Business Revenue, License Offices, Community Services, Facilities & General Services, Airport, Public Facilities, Water Services, Environmental Services, Highway Department, Development Services – Building Codes and Land/Development Regulations, IT Services, Proprietary (Water & Solid Waste Disposal), Economic and Development-Tourism-Promotional-Work Readiness Projects or Initiatives and the planning and construction of public facilities.
In short, Chad serves our County by making it a wonderful and livable place!
